Mine has never really been a "Shooter" as my Model 60 22LR can rival it in accuracy. I shot it today averaging 3" groups at 100yds. My own Marlin is a heavy SS barrel with synthetic stock. I believe the model is the 882 SSV. Of the "standard priced" 22 WMR ammo it likes the Winchester 40 grn HPs the best with 5 shots at 100 yards printing sub 1 inch groups. The CCI 40 grn HPs group around 1 1/4 inches at the same range.But man, it sure brings back memories and they are fun to shoot. (and cheap!) I have been look'n at various models and styles and I really like the looks of the Marlin 883, wood stock, tube feed magazine in a .22mag caliber. Maybe a stainless model, but the standard blued models look pretty darn nice. The things I like are bolt action, tube ....
